About The Conference
Amoebic diseases continue to pose significant challenges to global health, with parasitic Entamoeba
histolytica being a major cause of amoebiasis and free-living Naegleria fowleri and Acanthamoeba spp
responsible for the devastating and often fatal primary amoebic meningoencephalitis (PAM), Granulomatous
Amoebic Encephalitis (GAE), and keratitis that results in loss of vision. Despite advances in molecular
biology, genomics, diagnostics, and therapeutics, important gaps remain in our understanding of amoebic
pathogenesis, host–parasite interactions, disease progression, and effective treatment strategies.
